Paul Anderson is an English actor who was born on February 12, 1978. In Peaky Blinders, he played Arthur Shelby Jr., Anderson in The Revenant, and Sebastian Moran in Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows. Anderson enrolled in the Webber Douglas Academy of Dramatic Art in the mid-2000s after working as a ticket scalper and aspiring musician for several years. He began his acting career in plays written by his buddy Gregory Burke, and he made his screen debut in the critically praised 2014 film '71,' also written by Burke. His first big part was in The Firm, a British film released in 2009. Anderson got his big break when he was cast as Arthur Shelby, a mobster in post-World War I Birmingham, in the BBC Two show Peaky Blinders in 2013. Anderson has since appeared in a number of significant films, including Ron Howard's In the Heart of the Sea and The Revenant, as well as the 2016 picture Brimstone.
